Low level laser acupuncture is the stimulation of traditional acupuncture points with low-level laser irradiation at systemic and/or auricular points.
The procedure is painless, non-invasive, effective, precise and versatile. It is suitable for people who are sensitive to or afraid of needles. The treatment involves selecting points according to the diagnosis, with the application of personalized and individualized doses.
Low-level laser acupuncture is indicated in chronic pain syndromes and also has been linked to improvement in the treatment of painful neurological and musculoskeletal disorders, such as carpal tunnel syndrome, fibromyalgia, neck, low back and shoulder pain, as well as osteoarthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis.
Duration: Each session lasts around 30 minutes (around 5 to 20 seconds per acupuncture point), depending on the application protocol and whether or not there is another combined therapy.
Procedure: Initially, the application site is cleaned using protective glasses, the laser is irradiated under the acupuncture point according to the patient's protocol.
