What is it and for what type of complaint?

Reiki is a secular therapeutic practice that, through the laying on of hands, the therapist captures and channels universal vital energy to the patient in order to remove blockages and restore the flow of vital energy. Therefore, the technique is an energy cure that promotes energy balance and physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being.

The term reiki comes from the Japanese, 霊 king - spirit / soul / miraculous / divinoe 気 ki - vital energy / vital force / gas / soprodates life, and also brings together other meanings: luminous atmosphere, spiritual energy, universal vital energy, the world and the life.

According to each method, linked to the laying on of hands, other tools such as: smoke, medicinal herbs, crystals, incense, sound instruments, lights, mantras, music, among others, may be used.

Duration: each session lasts around 30-60 minutes, depending on whether or not there is another conjugate therapy.

Procedure: During a session, the pacient will in a comfortable lie, fully clothed and the practitioner will then place their hands lightly on over specific areas of the pacient's head, limbs, and torso, for about 3 minutes each.
